HITtheWALL WINNER 2023 WOWSA Event of the year
HITtheWALL with infinity Channel Swimmings annual cold water camp is announced as #winner of the #wowsaawards2023 Event of the year.
HITtheWALL now in its 8th year is a four day open water swimming endurance camp hosted by infinity Channel Swimming in #Carlingford , Ireland with water temperatures around 12-14*C and swim distances averaging 40K across the weekend. Swimming in the hours of darkness, ice baths, challenging swim conditions and swimmers specific yoga all make for a great user experience. Swimmers can choose to wear the #beyondyourlimits swim cap which their swimming challenge to the next level of endurance. HITtheWALL – Infinity Channel Swimming
WOWSA extend their heartfelt congratulations on this achievement as the 2023 World Open Water Swimming Association Awards Winner (Gold) Event of the Year adding how the open water swimming community has recognised the exceptional achievements trusting this recognition will reach others to be inspired by your accomplishments. The annual WOWSA awards celebrate individuals and offerings who contributed most to the sport of open water swimming in 2023. Over 600 nominations were evaluated by the 128 members of the WOWSA Awards Voting Academy and narrowed down to 10 finalists in each category, hailing from 23 different countries. More than 3,000 public votes were cast, with a 75% weighting from 75 members of the WOWSA Academy and 25% from the public, to determine the top three winners in each category.
WOWSA are thankful to infinity Channel Swimming for inspiring all with our commitment and achievements and look forward to seeing how our journey continues to influence the world of open water swimming.
