In 2019 I came here and I truly hit the wall. I attempted to swim the six hour and mentally struggled along the way and pulled out at 4 1/2 hours. That was my second year of marathon swimming. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve become stronger both physically and mentally. And most importantly, I’ve learned how to carry four hours worth of feeds. I only went back to the boat to fuel up twice because I carried easily 800 calories on me at any given time.
I was awarded “The do it yourself, DIY” which I will cherish and then eat it all! 😂
