Sunfish Farm on North channel To help with jellyfish
…. news for North Channel swimmers this season and for the future ….
BREAKING NEWS on the plans to create a ‘Sunfish fish farm’ off the Copeland Islands
to feed on the local Lions Mane jellyfish.
The Local NI -ICS have released the plans for this multi million point investment in the North channel creating local jobs and boost the fishing industry locally.
The mammoth SUNFISH pictured live on a diet of jellyfish, but because this diet is nutritionally poor, they consume large amounts to develop and maintain their great bulk.
Coincidentally the location of the new farm is close to the start point for the north channel swims which is reassurance for many embarking on their marathon swim journey towards Scotland helping clear the swim path of this north channel menace.
Crew member Milo McCourt has expressed his delighted with the news and has said his job will be much easier now that he won’t need to help direct swimmers around the menace, concentrating more on the encouragement of the swimmers.
updated reports will be posted as we learn more of the progress.
