2017 challenges to you The Celtic Quadrant

Infinity channel swimming opens its 2017 challenges to you. The Celtic Quadrant Challenges the World’s Toughest Channel Swims.

We have had a huge response on social media and via email and can now announce the opening of two amazing channel swim opportunities for you.

‘The Isle of Man Channel’

Following on from the Guinness World Record at Camlough Lake in 2009 the seeds of the Isle of Man swim crossing were sown.

There were two previous vallant attempts on the Isle of Man channel by a four person relay on 20th June 2010 and our good friends in Drogheda, Ireland who attempted the same channel in the opposite direction from Ireland to Isle of Man on the same day.

Infinity channel swimming having studied and researched the crossing have the ingredients to successfully conquer this channel with the help of mother nature. Distance: 70K +

Water temperature 11oC – 13oC

Team number: 6 as per

North Channel rules swimming in relay rotation

Swim speed: 3.5k + per hour

Cost: £200 per swimmer

Date Window: 14th – 20th June 2017

‘The Oa Channel’

In developments of the North channel the team at infinity channel swimming have created a fourth channel from the Isle of Islay to Ireland named ‘The Oa Channel’’ a swim never before attempted or completed.

These both create ‘the celtic quadrant’ of swims with the already notoriously tough Dál Riata channel and ‘the North Irish Channel. We need to select the teams. From now until 1st March 2017 Infinity channel swimming crew will be looking closely at the applicants background, stamina and mindset to select those who will become the teams to take on these mammoth challenges.

The team plus two reserves will be offered a complimentary pass to the HITtheWALL open water training weekend 26-29th May, 2017.

Good luck to all
